01.08.2013 17:36 | www.cross.bg | www.cross.bg |

01.08.2013 14:41 | www.dartsnews.bg | www.dartsnews.bg |

01.08.2013 16:49 | www.fakti.bg | www.fakti.bg |

Big Sha a.k.a.

Не прекалявам с нищо, щото I dont wanna die, die.

1. Benvenisti: The vermin has no ethnicity and no religion, he is just a vermin | | 01.08.2013 14:24 | www.cross.bg | www.cross.bg |

/CROSS / Nowadays rappers are people with influence over young people and they should be careful what they say. Let’s be critical, let’s be sharp. But you can not put the adjective „Jewish vermin.” The vermin has no ethnicity and no religion, he is just a vermin. This is what the President of „Shalom” Maxim Benvenisti said before the IA CROSS in relation to the statement made by the new face of the counter-protesters Misho Shamara, in which he called the former deputy prime minister Simeon Dyankov “a Jewish vermin”. We are even more concerned about the fact that there was no reaction from the reporters and the hosts of the TV program, Benvenisti added. „In all cases, the budget prepared earlier by Dyankov must be fixed. The most incapable Minister of Economy in charge of all time – this Jewish vermin who robbed Bulgaria”, Misho Shamara said in an interview yesterday with TV7. It is too dangerous to propagate stereotypes that an unpleasant person can be identified with an ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion, said the President of the Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria. According to Benvenisti, at present, a reaction expressed in a letter to the television is enough on behalf of “Shalom”. We hope that after our public reaction the representatives of the current youth and culture, as well as Misho Shamara, will think about it. Of course, many actions can be taken, but we believe that the most important thing is to make people think”, said Maxim Benvenisti. Regarding the protests and counter-protests in the country, part of which is the current case, the President of „Shalom” said: „I venture to say that everything is a process. We need to get used to the fact that we live in a world where civil protests are part of the civil society. The processes have neither beginning nor end, except their forms will change. Obviously, we are now in a more acute phase of the protest.

The most incapable Minister of Economy in charge of all time – this Jewish vermin who robbed Bulgaria „, Misho Shamara said in an interview yesterday with TV7. Of course, many actions can be taken, but we believe that the most important thing is to make people think, said Maxim Benvenisti.

/CROSS/ Misho Shamara apologized to the Jewish community in the country for the omitted words about Simeon Dyankov. Earlier today, he exploded live on TV7 against the former finance minister: It’s OK for them to fix his budget. He is the most incapable Jewish vermin”. The President of “Shalom” Maxim Benvenisti was quick to answer, saying: “The vermin is just a vermin, he has no ethnicity and no religion”. Shortly afterwards, Misho Shamara published a letter of apology on his Facebook timeline: I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former minister Simeon Dyankov. I do not have and I have never had any bad feelings both to the Jews and to any other minority in Bulgaria. We have been living together for centuries, and we will continue living together in fellowship and love. This has always been my goal. Jewish and Bulgarian people are great,” wrote Misho Shamara.

The rapper Misho Shamara apologized to the Jewish community and to the former Minister of Finance Simeon Dyankov for calling the latter a Jewish verminlive on a TV show.

I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former Minister Simeon Dyankov. This is a big mistake and it will never happen again. I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I really respect and have wonderful friends among it, I apologize to the former Minister for the aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line”, said Shamara in a letter to the media, who is one of the faces of the counter-protest in support of the Oresharski Government.

He assures that he has no bad feelings towards Jews and says that he would seek a meeting with the Israeli ambassador and representatives of the Jewish community to apologize to them personally for his words.

9. Enough with the language of hatred | | 02.08.2013 00:49 | Zemya | page 3 |

Before couple of days in a TV interview, the rapper Misho Shamara, who today is one of the faces of the counter-protest, allowed himself to make an anti-Semitic statement, which is absolutely unacceptable – the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov was called “a Jewish vermin”. Our newspaper is the sharpest critic of Dyankov and his policies, but the Dyankov’s mistakes shall not be related to his ethnic origin or religion. A politician is good or bad not because he/she is a Bulgarian, Turkish, Jewish or Armenian. A primordial Bulgarian tradition, bequeathed to us by our ancestors, is to respect the differences and to be tolerant. Vasil Levski most clearly says that there is a space for everyone in free Bulgaria. It is sad that the rapper Misho Shamara, who apparently decided that politics is his new field, became the latest spokesperson of the hatred. Such a man has no place among the defenders of the government. It is even worse that the language of hatred is experiencing a renaissance. The insults, swearing and threats have become an integral part of the political speeches, while the aggression flooded both streets and institutions. Equally reprehensible are the words “red trash” that we hear from the “smart and beautiful” protesters and the racist words of Shamara. Hopefully common sense prevails at last. Even in South Africa, the human rights fighter Nelson Mandela forgave his white tormentors and went down the path of peace and harmony. Let us, the people in small Bulgaria, understand that the path of hatred is detrimental and does not lead to anything good.

11. The rapper Misho Shamara: Will oligarchs like Plevneliev and Bezuhanova run the country? | | 05.08.2013 00:14 | Vseki den | Page 19 | MARINA CHERTOVA
– Misho, why did you support the Oresharski Government? You personally carried out the boxes with petition “for the government”. What made you do it?

There is nothing surprising in this. Even young children are aware of the fact that if Oresharski falls, Boyko Borisov comes to power. This should not be allowed to happen under any circumstances. Nobody wants this peasant from Bankya to run the country. GERB ruined the state and the business, while Borisov has proven to be an outstanding egocentric and a person who is not interested in Bulgaria. Even the children know that the President Rosen Plevneliev is his puppet. If Oresharski falls, he will still appoint ministers and they will start to cheat with the bags, as they did in Kostinbrod. It is super simple and elementary to think that if Oresharski falls something better will come.

– You had a conversation with the Prime Minister. What was your impression of him?

Oresharski is a moderate and balanced person, humble and kind. He impressed me a lot. And he, of course, like any other person can make mistakes, but he admits his mistakes and quickly corrects them. Oresharski is a man unlike the deity Boyko. I want to be ruled by a normal person like Oresharski.

– There are some comments that you actually support the current government only because a year ago, at the time of GERB, you were investigated for insulting the state symbols because of your song “White, green, red”. You sang “I do not believe in GERB, but I strongly believe in the coat of arms…”

This is one of the smallest things. We had the same case as “Pussy Riot” The whole European Union and the United States of America criticized Russia, but here in the backyard of Europe, the same thing had happened and no one responded to the suppression of freedom of speech. Even the European People’s Party continued to support an absolute dictatorial regime. During the past four years everyone who did not respect Borisov had suffered. Everyone who did not worship “the Divine” had been punished and smashed. I am even wondering who supports him at all and who wants him back ruling the country. And the media of Prokopiev that works for the government to fall makes me mad.

– That was your first time at a meeting of BSP on Buzludzha in late July. How did you feel on the top? What was your mood?

All people say that the communists were nasty. I went to see Buzludzha, to see the „nasty” communists and to see for myself whether those people breathe fire or whether lava comes out of their ears. I only saw, however, normal people – people who work, and pensioners, and students, and young and old. Quit demonizing the communists being vermin. Communism had been gone for 25 years, and it will not come back. I am the biggest anti-communist. If I stand behind the BSP, then there is a reason. Currently, this is the only democratic political structure, that although there is a hierarchy, there is pluralism. BSP defends the democracy. See what GERB looks like. Its leader is playing the role of a deity, who has no simple respect for his fellow party members, no simple respect for humanity and for the other person.

– D you know Sergey Stanishev?

We know each other. I talked to him a year ago when he protected me in the parliament. Back then he risked his political career by defending freedom of speech. Many thanks to him for that. Stanishev took an extremely courageous civil position even at a time when the media could have ruined him. It was a few days before his selection as a leader of the PES. We have an excellent contact. He, just like Oresharski, is a very balanced person. A good politician is the one who finds the balance between corporations and the simple man, between business and workers. They must go hand in hand. I do not accept the far-right government, which only serves the corporations and the rich people and “everyone else go suck it”. It does not work that way. Only during the ruling of GERB there had had been such massive and brutal suicides.

– What is the relationship between hip-hop and socialism? How do you think the “red grannies” perceive rap?

I understand your irony.

– Oh, on the contrary, it’s not about the irony. I just find it interesting how the electorate of the Bulgarian Communist Party perceives Misho Shamara?

In this case, it is an honor and dignity for every real man to stand on the side of the old, sick and poor. If you stand on the side of the rich and powerful in their fight against the weak and the poor, then you are a man without honor and without dignity. Currently, all the protesters protest alongside “Lilyancheto” who was a minister and “Delyancho” who was in charge of the state energy affairs. Even Mrs. Plevnelieva is there. Mrs. Plevnelieva holds a poster against the oligarchy. If the protest wanted to have a real human form, it should have beheaded those oligarchs, should have lynched them and should have publicly “hit” them with broomsticks, those freaks that ruined the country. It is impossible for 20 people to drink coffee in front of the parliament before 40 cameras, while at the same time 100 people sit before Boyko’s house begging him to go to work and no cameras.

– You are one of the biggest critics of the President Rosen Plevneliev. What in his actions bothers you the most?

The President is one of the “sorosoids”. The whole game revolves around Prokopiev, Soros’ NGOs “Open Society” and the Center for the Study of Democracy, Sasha Bezuhanova who has worked for Hewlett-Packard for a long time and keeps the Internet propaganda through fake profiles that impose opinion. I do not know whether you have noticed, but when you say something against Boyko and 1000 people immediately begin to write how great he is, however, used the names of cartoon characters, those are fake profiles. Sasha Bezuhanova has control over these things for a long time. Suddenly, she left her important position and somehow started founding a party, of which Tsvetelina Borislavova is a part. Wait a minute! It looks like we just fell from the moon and they think we are the biggest idiots. (he laughs). They really believe that other people are morons and do not see what is really happening.

– You criticize Boyko Borisov, but do not you think that behind the repressions against inconvenient people actually stood Tsvetan Tsvetanov?

Tsvetan Tsvetanov is a contractor of the customer. Boyko’s ego is affected by my statements. All crimes have been committed with the knowledge of Boyko. They are mad at me, because I am asking Borisov to work. But of course! I am a citizen of this country, Boyko was elected as a MP and he must go to work in the parliament. If he does not know – we, the citizens, are the sovereign and if he does not know – we are a republic and we hire them, i.e. we elect them and they are our workers. I, as his employer, want him to go to work. Therefore, if he does not go to work, I have the right to remind him that.

– In recent days a new scandal has broken around you. You called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov “a Jewish vermin” and sparked a wave of indignation. Why did you do that?

I want to apologize to the Jewish community for my words. I am a democrat at heart and I am for equality. “Jewish vermin” was a cliché phrase which was saved from the thousands of xenophobic statements that the Bulgarian politicians use. I am a Bulgarian and a Christian and I have always stood behind equality – I like Bulgarian Muslims and Bulgarian Jews and Gypsies. I believe that man is born with red blood, not born as a separate ethnic group or religion. People are born good and bad, and I apologize once again for the words I have said. But it is slightly racist to say that there are no bad people among the Jews. There are both good and bad people and it is just what makes them normal and nice people. As Jews have a genius like Einstein, so they have a moron like Dyankov. As we have Levski and Botev, so we have Boyko Borisov. As Turks have Kemal Ataturk and Naim Suleymanoglu, so they have Vezdhi Rashidov. As an ethnic group has its “offal”, so it has its “cool people”. I should not make this a problem at all. I love them so much; I have many friends and teachers in my life who are Jews. I love them and respect them very much.

– After your speech about Dyankov, however, the Council for Electronic Media was informed and the director Georgi Lozanov himself took a stand in relation to your anti-Semitic statement. He commented on that you brought the country another absurdity by becoming an “officious rapper” who is always on the side of the government – even now when the red grandmothers should study your songs, and before when the prosecution was informed about the jokes you made with the national symbols.

I already wrote on my Facebook timeline that I want a sentence for Gogo Lozanov for abuse of power. I do not know how to “refer, mrefer or another gay word” to the prosecution about this action, but if we want to have the freedom of speech, we must start from the Council for Electronic Media. This “monster” wrote on his Facebook page that they should put me in jail for 2 years.

– And finally, tell us how will you spend the summer?

I am going home in Varna. My holiday will be sports and beach every day with the kids.

– Misho Shamara or Big Sha – how do you prefer to be called?

Everyone can call me whatever he likes. I have no pretenses. My name is Mihail Stanislavov Mihaylov, I always have my head up and no gudgeons can bother me at all.

12. Reactions against Misho Shamara’s statement | Dal’s people want the government to distinguish from the words “Jewish vermin” | 01.08.2013 14:41 | www.dartsnews.bg | www.dartsnews.bg|

People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity of Korman Ismailov and Kasim Dal reacted against the statements made by Misho Shamara. Yesterday in an interview with TV7 the rapper called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov “a Jewish vermin”. In a special statement today, the formation commented on that more than 24 hours “after his gaffe on the national television there were no consequences”. Misho Shamara took lead of the protest in support of the government. “The government obligingly turned its head aside and slept through the statement of its man. It is not the first time when BSP and MRF openly tolerate unconstitutional racial or outright neo-Nazi events – provided that they come from powers that support them,” says the document of the People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity. The party is convinced that any such action of the Oresharski government obliterates the dignity of the people and the authority of Bulgaria. They urge the government to distinguish from Misho Shamara and to declare that it will not tolerate manifestations of racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia and neo-Nazism from its supporters. “We expect from the prosecution to initiate the relevant proceedings on its own initiative. We will inform PES and the European ambassadors in Sofia. Now we will first inform the Council for Electronic Media”, said the party leader Korman Ismailov. The statement also says: “More than a month ago, members of the European family of BSP warned the party that it has already crossed the red line of unacceptable thirst for power and has secured its support from a structure such as ATAKA. Many red lines had been crossed since then. Yesterday’s horrific anti-Semitic manifestation on behalf of their most vocal supporter Big Sha makes us think that it friendship with ATAKA is a matter of shared values rather than mere political cynicism”.

In an interview of Zhivka Angelova for www.sofia-press.com the controversial rap singer Misho Shamara said that he is a Christian and is against the division of communities in Bulgaria. The rapper apologized to all Jews for his recent statements about them. The most remarkable one was about Simeon Dyankov calling him live on TV7 “a Jewish vermin”. Shamara, who now likes to be called otherwise, talked about his career, his political orientation and his personal motives for participating in the anti-protests. 15. Misho Shamara made “Shalom” angry with an anti-Semitic statement – „a Jewish vermin” | | 01.08.2013 16:49 | www.fakti.bg | www.fakti.bg |

The President of the Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria „Shalom” Maxim Benvenisti sent a letter to the Executive Director of TV 7 Nikolay Barekov and the head of the News Directorate Zheni Pavlova in connection with an anti-Semitic statement made by the rapper Misho Shamara, which was showed on yesterday’s reportage in the morning program of the media. In that reportage, the singer used the phrase „a Jewish vermin” about the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov.

Regardless of the language and means of expression used by a rapper and regardless of the ethnicity and religion of the people and their social status, we believe that it is unacceptable to make xenophobic and anti-Semitic statements and to use your television to incite hatred against Jewish community in Bulgaria and around the world. Rappers and the media have a strong influence on young people and on the shaping of their values, therefore we clearly oppose the use of language of hatred and inciting xenophobic attitudes in the Bulgarian society, said “Shalom”. “We are deeply concerned about the absence of a reaction on behalf of the reporter and the hosts of the morning program against the statement made by Misho Shamara, added “Shalom”. Furthermore, the so-called anti-government information service NOresharski expressed outrage at the case in an open letter to the Council for Electronic Media. „I’m a rapper, I will not become a prime minister” can not be an excuse for uttering a series of uncensored expressions and anti-Semitic statements directly and live on the national TV! We can not find any justification for the fact that after the statements made by Mr. Mihailov (the real name of Misho Shamara or Big Sha is Mihail Mihaylov – editor’s note) there was no response from the team of the television, which obligation under Art. 10, para 6 of the Law on Radio and Television „it not to allow shows, contrary to good morals, especially if they contain pornography, praise or condone brutality or violence or incitement to hatred based on race, sex, religion or nationality,” recalls the author of the letter Nikolay Staykov – coordinator of the website www.noresharski.com. „We urge the Council for Electronic Media to take all measures and sanctions provided by the Law on Radio and Television. We also urge the media to be more responsible to the viewers and in this sense – to more carefully select the interlocutors, if there is available technical option to secure a show free of speech of hatred”, ends the letter. 16. Stanishev condemned the anti-Semitic statement made by Misho Shamara | The rapper apologized to the Jewish community through Facebook | 01.08.2013 18:48 | www.segabg.com | News |

I condemn any such statements, they are utterly irrelevant. Thus, the BSP leader Sergey Stanishev commented before OFFNews the statement made by the rapper Misho Shamara, who, as a face of the counter-protest, called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov, “a Jewish vermin” during a live show on TV7. “The man made a mistake. All manifestations of racism should be removed, they are essentially manifestations of the language of hatred – whether it is an aggression against Roma, Turks, or anti-Semitism”, said the socialist Anton Kutev. “What? This is Misho Shamara, a rapper, there is noting to comment on. It is unacceptable to interfere with ethnic elements in the personal assessment of anyone”, replied Cetin Kazak – member of the parliament from MRF. „Is it so important to comment on what Misho Shamara said? This means to legitimize this arrogant person who writes vulgar lyrics. I have no such intention”, said the former culture minister Rashidov from GERB. “I can not comment on this statement. I have not heard it. I do not know whether the tone was ironic, etc.”, said Pavel Shopov from ATAKA. The Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria „Shalom” condemned the statement of the rapper. “This is an unmeasured, thoughtless statement made by a man who is appreciated by a large group of young people”, said the President of the Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria „Shalom” Maxim Benvenisti. “The vermin can not be Jewish, Bulgarian or French. The vermin is just a vermin. This is a good lesson about how fast tags can be hanged. But we are not going to react harshly. It just shows us that every young person, and we all need to think before we say something”, said Benvenisti. In this case, the television (TV7 – editor’s note) as a type of institution has greater responsibility, since there was no reaction to the statement on its side. So we sent them a letter in which we expressed our position in relation to the statement, we do not expect a feedback, he said. There have been further reactions after the statement made by Misho Shamara: “I did not hear Misho Shamara calling on TV7 Simeon Dyankov “the most incapable Jewish vermin”, but it is another step towards confrontation in the society. It is absolutely unacceptable behavior of a public figure. A behavior which an EU country should neither tolerate nor permit in respect of any ethnic or religious group. Such words are worse than stones thrown against the white bus. Politicians, intellectuals and public figures shall react unambiguously, wrote Georgi Kadiev on his Facebook timeline. Misho Shamara published an open letter in the social network to the media in which he said he deeply regretted his statement. “I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I really respect and I have wonderful friends among it, I apologize … to the former minister for my aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line”, said the rapper. Shamara also said that the Bulgarian and Jewish people are great and he is glad that he has many friends and teachers of Jewish origin.

We can not find any justification for the fact that after the statements made by Mr. Mihailov there was no response from the team of the television, which obligation under Art. 10, para 6 of the Law on Radio and Television „is to not allow shows, contrary to good morals, especially if they contain pornography, praise or condone brutality or violence or incitement to hatred based on race, sex, religion or nationality”. We urge the Council for Electronic Media to take all measures and sanctions provided by the Law on Radio and Television, says the letter to the media regulator sent by the coordinator of the Anti-government information service – Mr. Nikolay Stoykov.

Another counter-protest has been held in support of the Oresharski government in from the pylons at the National Palace of Culture. The counter-protest ended as usual – just before the protest on the yellow bricks. It was attended by most of the people who have been active in the last days. According to their statement made by Boyko Borisov that there will be no elections in September can be interpreted as a signal that the government of Oresharski can run the country through its entire mandate. 20. Protesters want the Council for Electronic Media to punish Shamara for calling Dyankov „a Jewish vermin,” he apologized | | 01.08.2013 16:26 | www.pik.bg | News |

Protesters sent a letter to the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) with a request to take a position regarding the controversial statement made by the rapper Misho Shamara, in which he called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov „a Jewish vermin” „The degree of public speaking in the country is high and it is not only because of the summer heat. However, when it reflects on the talking live on the nation television, which flows into anti-Semitic statements and language of hatred, it could not be embarrassing for all of us, the viewers. Within the live show, part of the morning program of July 31, 2013 on TV7, the spokesperson of the counter-protesters and all actions in support of the Oresharski government, the rapper Mihail Mihaylov, also know as Big Sha and Misho Shamara, afford to use the phrase „Jewish vermin” which is mildly unacceptable”, the letter said.

„I’m a rapper, I will not become a prime minister” can not be an excuse for uttering a series of uncensored expressions and anti-Semitic statements directly and live on the national TV! We can not find any justification for the fact that after the statements made by Mr. Mihailov there was no response from the team of the television, which obligation under Art. 10, para 6 of the Law on Radio and Television „it not to allow shows, contrary to good morals, especially if they contain pornography, praise or condone brutality or violence or incitement to hatred based on race, sex, religion or nationality”. We also urge the media to be more responsible to the viewers and in this sense – to more carefully select the interlocutors, if there is available technical option to secure a show free of speech of hatred”. Misho Shamara: I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former Minister Simeon Dyankov. This is a big mistake and it will never happen again. In a few days I will ask for a meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador of Israel and representatives of the Jewish community in Bulgaria to offer my personal apologies.

/CROSS/ People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity of Korman Ismailov and Kasim Dal reacted sharply against the statements made by Misho Shamara. In an interview with TV7, the rapper called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov, “a Jewish vermin”. In a special statement today the formation paid attention to the fact that there has been no official reaction to the roughly speaking from either party. The government obligingly turned its head aside and slept through the statement of its man. It is not the first time when BSP and MRF openly tolerate unconstitutional racial or outright neo-Nazi events – provided that they come from powers that support them,” says the People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity. The party is convinced that any such action of the Oresharski government obliterates the dignity of the people and the authority of Bulgaria. They urge the government to distinguish from Misho Shamara and to declare that they will not tolerate manifestations of racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia and neo-Nazism from its supporters. The party expects the prosecution to initiate the relevant proceedings on its own initiative, while the party will personally inform PES and the European ambassadors in Sofia, as well as the Council for Electronic Media. The statement also says: “More than a month ago, members of the European family of BSP warned the party that it has already crossed the red line of unacceptable thirst for power and has secured its support from a structure such as ATAKA. Many red lines had been crossed since then. Yesterday’s horrific anti-Semitic manifestation on behalf of their most vocal supporter Big Sha makes us think that its friendship with ATAKA is a matter of shared values rather than mere political cynicism”.

Korman Ismailov: The rude anti-Semitic statement made by the rapper Misho Shamara live on TV7 staid for more than 24 hours with no public reaction. On Wednesday, the rapper, who became the face of the counter-protesters who support the Oresharski government, called the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov, “an incapable Jewish vermin”. There was no public reaction, and the gaffe was apparently accepted as part of the “colorful dictionary of the musician”. The only public reaction was published on Thursday – the one of the leader of the People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity- Korman Ismailov, but in his capacity as a representative of “a group of Bulgarian, Turkish, Armenian, Jewish, Roma, etc. vermin” as he signed the declaration. “For more than 24 hours a hideous gaffe made on national television, without any consequences. Yesterday in an interview with TV7 the face of the counter-protesters who support the Oresharski government, Misho Shamara called a former minister “a Jewish vermin”. Immediately afterwards, the government adopted willingly a petition in its defense, presented by the anti-Semite”, the declaration said. The government obligingly turned its head aside and slept through the statement of its man. It is not the first time when BSP and MRF openly tolerate unconstitutional racial or outright neo-Nazi events – provided that they come from powers that support them. We expect from the prosecution to initiate the relevant proceedings on its own initiative. We will inform PES and the European ambassadors in Sofia. Now we will first inform the Council for Electronic Media”, the declaration said.

The prosecution will not initiate legal proceedings on its own initiative in relation to the xenophobic statement made by the rapper Mihail Mihaylov – Misho Shamara, because it is a question of a word and insult that the affected party can seek redress in court on a private basis, said “Legal World”, referring to the response of a question that has been sent to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. On July 31, Shamara used the words „a Jewish vermin” live on TV7 while criticizing the former finance minister Simeon Dyankov. After the speech, the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) was informed about the racist words of the rapper by the Anti-government Information Service, whose representatives urged the media to be more responsible to their viewers and to carefully select their interlocutors. The Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria „Shalom” condemned the statement of the rapper. „“I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I really respect and I have wonderful friends among it, I apologize … to the former minister for my aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line”, reads part of the letter of the rapper to the media, in which he apologized to the Jewish community. Lawyers stated before “Legal World” that the action of the prosecution is correct thinking that the idea of interfering in such affairs is not good because it is evident that the rapper is not preaching or inciting national, ethnic or religious hatred, but he expressed a negative attitude. A day after his statement, in a letter to the media, Misho Shamara apologized for the insulting words, saying that he never had bad feelings towards any minority. The letter said that within days he will request a meeting with the Israeli ambassador in Sofia and representatives of the Jewish community to offer them a personal apology. In the letter, the rapper wrote that he deeply regrets and sincerely apologizes for inadvertently omitted words against the former minister Simeon Dyankov”. He defined his words live on TV7 as a mistake that will never be repeated. Since last year Misho Shamara has been investigated by the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office for smirching the national flag. The investigation has started after a signal from the Council for Electronic Media. The proceedings against Shamara are result of his participation in the TV show “Karbovski Live” where he was explaining his lyrics, “I did not smirch it, but the flag smirches us” The proceedings cover the most controversial moment of the song performed by Konsa: “Of the three colors I love the white the most. I smoke the green and I’m high. I am not overdoing cause I don’t wanna die, die. Red is like a menses, a sour chick with „Toyota Avensis”.

He also added that in a few days he will ask for a meeting with the Israeli ambassador and representatives of the Jewish community. “We have been living together for centuries, and we will continue living together in fellowship and love. This has always been my goal”, he wrote. People in the social network reacted sharply by calling Shamara a “clown”, “illiterate” and a man who sold his family and children.

39. Misho Shamara: I deeply regret and sincerely apologize | | 01.08.2013 17:42 | www.v2.bgnes.com | News |

I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former Minister Simeon Dyankov, wrote Mihail Mihaylov, also known as Misho Shamara in a letter to the media. This is a big mistake and it will never happen again. I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I really respect and have wonderful friends among it, I apologize to the former Minister for the aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line”. I do not have and I have never had any bad feelings both to the Jews and to any other minority in Bulgaria. We have been living together for centuries, and we will continue living together in fellowship and love. This has always been my goal. Jewish and Bulgarian people are great. I am proud to be a Bulgarian and to live in the country which will be part of the world history forever for saving the Jews from the death camps. I’m also proud of the fact that many of their descendants are my friends, and my teachers. In a few days I will ask for a meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador of Israel and representatives of the Jewish community in Bulgaria to offer my personal apologies. Once again – brothers, please accept my apologies, ended the rapper.

40. Misho Shamara: Will oligarchs like Plevneliev and Bezuhanova run the country? | I am an anti-communist but only BSP protects the democracy, says the rapper | 05.08.2013 08:00 | www.vsekiden.com | News | Author: Marina Chertova

Mihail Mihaylov, also known as Misho Shamara and Big Sha, is a rap artist. He was born on December 27, 1972 in Varna. Has recorded dozens of music hits. A month ago, at the height of the protests against the Oresharski government, the singer gave his support to the new prime minister and was participating in person in the counter-protests in front of the National Palace of Culture. Last year he had problems with the prosecution, after a signal sent by the head of CEM Georgi Lozanov in relation to a text from the song of Misho Shamara “White, green, red” on the grounds that Shamara has smirched the Bulgarian flag and coat of arms. Many organizations determined that act as a serious violation of freedom of speech. After three months of trial, the proceedings against Misho Shamara have been terminated. We asked the rapper to tell us why he likes Oresharski and how he feels among the red grannies.

41. „Shalom” angry with Misho Shamara for calling Dyankov “a Jewish vermin” | | 01.08.2013 18:54 | news.snews.bg | ????????? |

The Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria „Shalom” disseminated a sharp statement in relation to the statement made by Misho Shamara live on TV7. We remind you that, yesterday in the morning program, Shamara exploded: „It is OK to fix the budget prepared by Simeon Dyankov. He is the most incapable Jewish vermin”.

“Regardless of the language and means of expression used by a rapper and regardless of the ethnicity and religion of the people and their social status, we believe that it is unacceptable to make xenophobic and anti-Semitic statements and to use your television to incite hatred against Jewish community in Bulgaria and around the world”, “Shalom” wrote in their statement to the media. “Rappers and the media have a strong influence on young people and on the shaping of their values, therefore we clearly oppose the use of language of hatred and inciting xenophobic attitudes in the Bulgarian society, the Organization of Jews said. After „Shalom” and other organizations reacted against the anti-Semitic statement, Shamara disseminated his apologies: I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former minister Simeon Dyankov. This is a big mistake and it will never happen again. I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I really respect and have wonderful friends among it, I apologize to the former Minister for the aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line.

/CROSS/ People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity of Korman Ismailov and Kasim Dal reacted angrily against the statements made by Misho Shamara. Yesterday in an interview with TV7 the rapper called the former Finance minister Simeon Dyankov, “a Jewish vermin”. In a special statement today the formation paid attention to the fact that there has been no official reaction to the roughly speaking from either party. The government obligingly turned its head aside and slept through the statement of its man. Before taking the side of Oresharski, the rapper sympathized with Slavi Binev and his campaign against Boyko Borisov and his party. www.vevesti.com Picture: sofia-press.com

He also added that in a few days he will ask for a meeting with the Israeli ambassador and representatives of the Jewish community. “We have been living together for centuries, and we will continue living together in fellowship and love. This has always been my goal”, he wrote.

Another counter-protest has been held in support of the Oresharski government in from the pylons at the National Palace of Culture. Traditionally, the rapper Misho Shamara, who, however, said that he must say goodbye to the people because he is going to Varna, has participated. Big Sha apologized to the microphone for insulting the Jewish community in the country. He explained that he used the term „a Jewish vermin” mechanically, without thinking about it. An hour ago, Misho Shamara published on his social network an open letter to the media, saying that he deeply regrets his statement. „I apologize to both the Bulgarian Jewish community which I respect a lot and I have wonderful friends among it, I apologize … to the former Minister for the aggressive tone and to all people who have heard the accidentally and mechanically omitted clichéd line”. Shamara said today that Bulgarians and Jews are great people and I am glad that I have many friends and teachers of Jewish origin. In few days he would ask for meeting with the Israeli Ambassador in Sofia and would apologize to him. “We have been living together for centuries, and we will continue living together in fellowship and love.

Meanwhile, the rapper from Varna chose to use the Facebook platform to officially apologize for his words to Simeon Dyankov. This is what he wrote in a open letter to the media. Misho Shamara: I deeply regret and sincerely apologize for inadvertently omitted words against the former Minister Simeon Dyankov. This is a big mistake and it will never happen again.

28. People’s Party for Freedom and Dignity reacted sharply against Shamara | | 01.08.2013 15:32 | dir.bg | News | Agency CROSS

29. The single public reaction so far in response to the anti-Semitic statement made by Misho Shamara | | 01.08.2013 15:36 | mediapool.bg | News |

With every such action, the current government obliterates the dignity of the people and the authority of Bulgaria.

For more than a month ago, members of the European family of BSP warned them that they had already crossed the red line of unacceptable thirst for power and had secured their support from a structure such as ATAKA. Many red lines had been crossed since then. Yesterday’s horrific anti-Semitic manifestation on behalf of their most vocal supporter Big Sha makes us think that their friendship with ATAKA is a matter of shared values rather than mere political cynicism”. “We expect that the government supported by Shamara will clearly distinguish from that rapper and will declare that they will not tolerate manifestations of racism, anti-Semitism, xenophobia and neo-Nazism on behalf of their supporters. We expect from the prosecution to initiate the relevant proceedings on its own initiative. We will inform PES and the European ambassadors in Sofia. Now we will first inform the Council for Electronic Media”, the declaration said.

35. The prosecution will not initiate legal proceedings on its own initiative in relation to the insulting words of Shamara | | 03.08.2013 17:05 | www.dnevnik.bg | News | Log In

Once again – brothers, please accept my apologies”, ended Misho Shamara and informed that in a few days he will ask for a meeting with His Excellency the Ambassador of Israel and representatives of the Jewish community in Bulgaria to offer his personal apologies.
